About the Internship
The Center for Christian Civics, a 501(c)3 organization working to help the church navigate the public square, is looking for two interns for the spring 2017 semester. The right candidates will be comfortable with and reliable in a flexible startup environment. It is important that the candidate be excited about our mission to encourage God’s people to be collaborative participants in the public square and empower local ministries to be communities where political opponents thrive in common Christian community.
While the internship will include basic administrative duties, the selected candidate will also devote substantial amounts of time to work in Digital Media and be responsible for a light course of reading and writing related to our area of practice.
The Digital Media Intern will work with our Executive Director to craft and execute a digital media strategy that promotes Center for Christian Civics’ work and furthers our mission of helping Christians approach the public square with wisdom and nuance. Responsibilities will include managing social media schedules, generating content and website content management. Facility with breaking down and responding to social media analytics a big plus. There’s room to exercise and grow in blogging, photography/videography or graphic design for candidates interested in learning the basics or honing their craft. This person will also have the chance to coordinate with the Development Director and Intern on fundraising campaigns.
Time Commitment and Credit
Interns can expect to commit about fifteen hours a week to the internship. While a significant portion of that time can be committed remotely, we would prefer that interns be able to commit at least eight hours a week to joining us in-person if at all possible. School credit is available.
