Development Intern

About the Internship

The Center for Christian Civics, a 501(c)3 organization working to help the church navigate the public square, is looking for interns for the spring 2017 semester. The right candidates will be comfortable with and reliable in a flexible startup environment. It is important that the candidate be excited about our mission to encourage God’s people to be collaborative participants in the public square and empower local ministries to be communities where political opponents thrive in common Christian community.

While the Financial Development internship will include some basic administrative duties, the selected candidate will also devote substantial amounts of time to work in Financial Development and be responsible for a light course of reading and writing related to our area of practice.

The Development Intern will work closely with our Development Director to assist in all aspects of CCC’s fundraising efforts. They will gain experience in prospect research, donor correspondence and event planning. This person will also have the opportunity to draft donor communications and work with the Digital Media Intern on social media fundraising campaigns. We are looking for a self-starter with strong attention to detail. This person should be highly interpersonal and enjoy meeting new people. Any experience using SalesForce (or similar database) and planning events is a plus.

Time Commitment and Credit

Interns can expect to commit about fifteen hours a week to the internship. While a significant portion of that time can be committed remotely, we would prefer that interns be able to commit at least eight hours a week to joining us in-person if at all possible. School credit is available.

If possible, Digital Media applicants may include two to three work samples (along with project briefs, if applicable). (These can be writing samples, design, video, or campaign overviews.)
